Scope of Work The project involved the following key components: * Scarification and reformation of the existing road surface * Grading and compaction to stabilize the subgrade * Placement of a single-layer asphaltic concrete overlay to restore drivability * Rehabilitation of drainage channels to improve surface water flow * Edge shaping, shoulder dressing, and road finishing for safe transit * Site clearance and community engagement throughout project execution

Description

As part of efforts to improve rural connectivity and enhance the living conditions of communities in the riverine belt of Rivers State, the Construction/Rehabilitation of Asarama Road was undertaken by O. K. Isokariari Nigeria Limited on behalf of the Andoni Local Government Council. The project focused on restoring and upgrading an essential stretch of road linking the town of Asarama to surrounding communities. Designed with a single-layer asphalt finish, the project was aimed at addressing longstanding issues of road deterioration, poor accessibility, and seasonal flooding that have affected movement and socio-economic activities in the area.
