Sandfill and Site Elevation Projects at NOGAPS, Emeyal-1

Scope of Work The combined projects featured the following key components: * Dredging and transportation of sharp sand to designated fill zones within the NOGAPS site * Filling of low-lying and void areas, particularly at the center of the park * Even distribution and leveling of sand materials to achieve design elevation * Compaction in controlled layers, ensuring geotechnical stability and load-bearing capacity * Quality control testing, including compaction testing and moisture-density checks * Provision of temporary access routes and site management logistics during execution

Description

As part of the foundational development phase for the Nigerian Oil and Gas Park Scheme (NOGAPS) at Emeyal-1 in Ogbia Local Government Area, Bayelsa State, O. K. Isokariari Nigeria Limited was engaged by the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) to execute two critical site preparation projects: 1. Supply, Spread, and Compaction of Dredged Sand for Elevation of Site Levels within the Void at the Centre of the NOGAPS Site, and 2. Sandfill, Spread, and Compaction of Dredged Sand for Elevation of Site Levels across broader sections of the park. These projects were essential to preparing the site for further infrastructure development by raising ground levels, ensuring soil stability, and mitigating future flooding risks.
